Events Calendar ( Catalysis - Industrial Process )
Welcome to the Platinum Metals Review Events Calendar: a multidisciplinary worldwide listing of conferences, symposia, lectures, courses, meetings and programmes related to the platinum group metals. The events feature the pgms or a topic of general interest to pgm science and technology.
You can browse events scheduled for the next few months. Past events can be viewed in our Events Calendar Archive.
If you know of an event that is of interest to pgms scientists not included in the Events Calendar, then please email us. We also welcome your reports of pgms papers given at events you attend; please contact us.

Honorary RSC Fellows Lecture: Coupling Chemistry 13 Jun 2012
Chemistry Centre, Burlington House, London, UK
Keynote speakers: Professor Akira Suzuki and Professor Ei-ichi Negishi, 2010 Nobel Prize for Chemistry
“The RSC is delighted to welcome Professor Suzuki and Professor Negishi to London on 13 June; both were made Honorary Fellows of the Royal Society of Chemistry. In 2010, Professors Akira Suzuki, Ei-ichi Negishi and Richard F. Heck were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their work on “palladium-catalysed cross couplings in organic synthesis”. This chemical tool has dramatically improved the possibilities for chemists to synthesise more sophisticated molecules, such as complex natural products. As a result, it has found widespread applications; ranging from the production of medicines, more precise electronics and agrochemicals. This is an exceptional opportunity to hear from the scientists who developed arguably one of the most definitive reactions in organic synthesis.”
