Johnson Matthey provides a comprehensive, global refining service for platinum group metal containing scrap, including spent laboratory chemicals.

Generally, we would request a detailed list from the customer of the quantities, percentage of precious metals and chemicals involved. This is sent to our refining facility at Brimsdown, UK, for review, to establish groups of similar materials and process routes prior to quoting – samples may be requested. If the quantities are very small, we can refer the material to one of our preferred collectors around the world.
